EPUAP Pressure Ulcer Curriculum

The EPUAP Pressure Ulcer Curriculum was developed to guide the education of health professionals involved in quality improvement and safety strategies implementation in managing PUs/PIs. These health professionals are charged with improving PU/PI quality, monitoring and recording PU/PI data, and providing support and education to colleagues in need of more comprehensive training.

This curriculum is intended for health professionals who coordinate specific or ‘specialised’ PU/PI prevention, treatment and monitoring roles. To engage and motivate health professionals to use and navigate through the PU curriculum, an interactive e-learning tool is currently under development. Each module of the e-learning is built upon the learning outcomes within the PU curriculum, and consists of a content and didactic e-learning part. The additional didactic e-learning part serves as a guidance for lecturers and focuses specifically on suggested teaching methods and approaches for education.

Each module covers reading materials, presentations, videos, interviews and/or questions to challenge the participants.
