25th EPUAP Annual Meeting
24-26 September 2025
Helsinki, Finland
Main theme: Care Pathways in prevention and management of pressure ulcers
Looking back at the outstanding EPUAP 2025 conference in Helsinki, Finland, pressure ulcer awareness was raised in an exceptional way across the country. The congress brought together 201 local participants, representing a broad range of professional profiles. Key conference topics included patient strategies, early detection, healthcare professional education, and treatment across different care settings, alongside important perspectives on body image, social interaction, and cutting-edge innovations in pressure ulcer research such as digital twins and AI in healthcare.
The impact extended well beyond the scientific programme: the EPUAP Declaration was presented to Members of Parliament and the Finnish Ministry of Health to drive policy-level change, and the event achieved a strong presence in local media and television, amplifying its message nationwide.
